Honda Type R Edition Unveiled

There have been numerous collaborations between watch and carmakers, but the recently unveiled Edifice Honda Type R Edition from Casio is too good not to mention. It's called the Edifice Honda Type R Edition and proudly displays the "Red H" on its dial's outer ring and strap in Championship White.

The watch's description is also quite impressive. The Edifice team worked with the head developer of the Honda Type R cars to capture the true essence of the brand in this timepiece. It is said to feel like wearing a Honda Type R car on your wrist, which is a unique and intriguing concept.

While the model codes printed on the strap and the sub-dial that mimics a Type R rev counter may not be conversation starters, the watch itself is expected to match Honda's high build quality. Based on the Edifice Windflow, a motorsport-inspired series, it features a case made with carbon fibre-reinforced resin, Casio's renowned Tough Solar charging system, and an Alcantara lining inside the genuine leather band.

This isn't the first time Casio has collaborated with Honda. They previously released a watch to commemorate 50 years of Mugen and another Edifice model that incorporated the same paint used in the Honda badge to show its connection to the racing team. Additionally, the Edifice Honda Type R Edition offers great value for money, priced at around £300 in Japan.

If you're an owner of a discerning NA1/NA2/DC2/DB8/DC5/EK9/EP3/FD2/FN2/FK2/FK8/FL5, this watch is a must-have.
