Fans can submit 6 keywords describing their dream Alfa Romeo model, and the brand will create photorealistic AI-generated renderings. The upcoming model is expected to be a two-door mid-engined supercar, possibly sharing underpinnings with the Maserati MC20. Specifications are highly classified, but reports suggest it will be named the 33 and have a top speed of 333 km/h.
The Australian arm of Alfa Romeo has launched an initiative to engage fans and harness the power of artificial intelligence. While the highly-anticipated mid-engined supercar is yet to be unveiled, the brand has invited fans to use their imagination and create their dream Alfa Romeo model through AI-generated renderings.
Although the upcoming model is expected to be a two-door mid-engined supercar inspired by the iconic Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale from 1967, fans have the freedom to design any type of Alfa Romeo they desire. The brand has already provided a few examples on their dedicated website, including low-slung supercars, grand tourers, sedans with retro vibes, and even a coupe SUV.
To participate, fans are asked to comment on Alfa Romeo Australia's Instagram post with six keywords describing their dream Alfa Romeo model and the desired environment for the rendering. Alfa Romeo Australia will then use AI technology to bring these visions to life and share the best results on their Instagram profile.
While the specifics of the upcoming model remain a mystery, Alfa Romeo has released a few cryptic teasers, showcasing glimpses of the grille, taillight, and steering wheel. The brand has kept the details highly classified, but speculation suggests that the car could share its underpinnings with the Maserati MC20, featuring a carbon-fiber monocoque. The engine possibilities include the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 from the Giulia GTA.
According to recent reports, the model might bear the nameplate "33" and offer a top speed of 333 km/h (206 mph). Production is expected to be limited to just 33 units, with an estimated price tag exceeding €1 million ($1.1 million).
All will be revealed next week during the grand unveiling at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Italy, where the original source of inspiration for the upcoming model is housed. Stay tuned for more information and exciting updates.
