Improved Buick Wildcat Design Study
【Summary】Buick shares behind-the-scenes look at the design of the Buick Wildcat, which is starting to influence new models like the 2024 Envista. Buick is transitioning from sedans to electrified crossovers and has a new logo. The animated car used to convince management looks more production-ready and attractive than the actual concept.
The General Motors Design studio recently offered a glimpse into the creation of the Buick Wildcat, a modern vehicle that was introduced just over a year ago. This particular model, known as the Wildcat EV Concept, was designed to showcase Buick's future direction in terms of design. Interestingly, elements of this concept can already be seen in newer models such as the 2024 Envista.
In addition to highlighting the design evolution, Buick also took the opportunity to signal a shift away from traditional sedans like the LaCrosse and Regal. Instead, the brand is embracing the world of electrified crossovers. To emphasize this change, Buick even unveiled a new logo.
What's intriguing is that the animated car used to convince Buick's management to pursue the concept appears to be more production-ready than the final result. In our opinion, this version of the vehicle is even more visually appealing than the initially radical concept.
