ATS Euromaster has launched a new app that allows drivers to book mobile tyre work for their fleet vehicles in real time. The app offers greater visibility and certainty on booking times, allowing drivers to choose a slot that suits their own timescales. It also provides improved communication with drivers through SMS messaging or emails, offering updates on job progress and completion times. The app is expected to account for 50% of all mobile tyre fitting requests in the future.

Cap HPI has introduced Lifecycle Emissions data to help fleets report on the carbon footprint of their vehicles over their entire lifetime. The data goes beyond in-life calculations to include production and recycling stages, providing increased transparency for customers and helping companies meet Scope 3 requirements. Cap HPI customers can already access fuel consumption data for 98% of the UK car parc, and the company is working with OEMs to establish standard reporting metrics.

Brightmile has released an update to its driver safety app in partnership with Drivetech. The app intervenes when a driver performs an unsafe action, such as speeding, and provides e-learning content to change risky behavior. The update includes improved e-learning with better accessibility and user experience on mobile devices. The app now also offers a single risk score for drivers, as well as vehicle safety checks, incident reports, and an updated rewards system.

Sopp+Sopp has launched Activate Initiate, an electronic notification of loss (eNOL) app to improve incident reporting and claims efficiency. The app allows drivers to submit quick and accurate incident reports, helping to control claims costs and reduce off-road time. It can be accessed through a link or QR code in the vehicle and integrates with existing driver communication tools. The app is already being used by fleet customers and will be rolled out to more fleets in the future.

Samsara has revealed that the majority of fleets are implementing new AI solutions for improved road safety and upskilling of drivers. However, privacy concerns are a significant issue, with only one in five respondents saying drivers are completely accepting of in-cab cameras. Samsara suggests that driver concerns can be addressed through education on how video data is captured and uploaded. Other initiatives that have improved driver sentiment towards AI include proactive leadership communication, involving drivers in safety policy creation, and providing examples of how AI has helped driver exoneration for incidents.

Targa Telematics has signed a strategic partnership with Renault to integrate data from Renault and Dacia vehicles. The partnership will enable Targa Telematics to harness data collected from sensors within the manufacturer's vehicles to power its new mobility services. The data includes location, mileage, fuel consumption, battery and charging data for electric vehicles, and other key information. The goal is to provide fleet managers and drivers with digital services that simplify the provisioning process in vehicles. Targa Telematics has also announced a collaboration with TCH Leasing to provide proactive service maintenance and real-time alerts about the vehicle's condition.
