Oshkosh Defense has secured a significant order worth US$208 million for Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), trailers, and related kits for the US Army, USMC, and USAF. This order reaffirms Oshkosh's position as a leading provider of military vehicles.

Earlier this year, it was announced that AM General had won a contract to manufacture JLTVs, but Oshkosh plans to continue producing them if possible. Oshkosh has already received orders or commitments for JLTVs from eight international customers and intends to make them available through Direct Commercial Sales. The company is committed to producing JLTVs until the first quarter of FY2025.

George Mansfield, VP and general manager of defense programs at Oshkosh Defense, emphasized the company's dedication to manufacturing the most reliable light tactical vehicle in the industry. Over the past decade, Oshkosh has invested in improving processes, establishing a robust supply chain, and assembling a world-class team of experts.

Oshkosh has also made strides in vehicle design. In January 2022, it unveiled a hybrid-electric drive version of the JLTV called eJLTV. Furthermore, in October 2022, the company showcased an enhanced version equipped with a Kongsberg Remote Weapon Station (RWS) and a side-mounted Javelin launcher. These advancements demonstrate Oshkosh's commitment to innovation and meeting the evolving needs of military forces.
