Liberty Walk's Ford Bronco Widebody is Narrower Than a Raptor

Japanese widebody kit maker Liberty Walk is known for creating bolt-on widebody kits for modified street Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Nissan GT-Rs. However, they have now ventured into the world of trucks with a widebody kit for the modern Ford Bronco. This unexpected move is surprising considering that trucks have their own history of bolt-on overfenders. Nevertheless, the Liberty Walk widebody kit for the Ford Bronco is now available for purchase, and it looks impressive.

The overfender treatment has always been a subject of controversy and has evolved alongside the widebody kit trend. Initially, widebodies were inspired by the fender flares of race cars in the '70s and '80s. Then, in the '90s and '00s, fiberglass bling became popular, leading to the overfender mania of today. Throughout each era, there have been remarkable widebody kits, often influenced by racing and performance rather than aesthetics. However, the main purpose of widebodies has always been to enhance style.

When it comes to the Liberty Walk kit for the Bronco, it surprisingly works incredibly well. While most of their kits are designed for sleek supercars with clear design concepts, the Bronco is a rugged and industrial vehicle. Therefore, the exposed rivets and sinuous shapes of the Liberty Walk kit, which might seem out of place on a Lamborghini Aventador or a Ferrari F40, actually complement the Bronco. In fact, it looks like it could have come straight from the factory.

Although it is one of Liberty Walk's less intense kits, it has the potential to appeal to a wider audience. For $3,080, Bronco owners now have the option to add a high-quality fender kit that will give their vehicles a visually tougher appearance. Perhaps we will start seeing these kits on trails across the United States soon.
