Liberty Walk's Ford Bronco Widebody: Narrower than a Raptor

Japanese widebody kit maker Liberty Walk is well-known for producing bolt-on widebody kits for modified street Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Nissan GT-Rs. However, trucks have not been a typical focus for Liberty Walk, despite trucks having a history of bolt-on overfenders. Surprisingly, Liberty Walk has now released a widebody kit for the modern Ford Bronco, which is available for purchase. The kit has been well-received and adds a stylish touch to the rugged vehicle.

The concept of overfenders has evolved over time, often following trends in widebody kits. Initially, widebodies were inspired by the fender flares of race cars in the '70s and '80s. Then, the '90s and '00s saw a craze for fiberglass bling, leading to the overfender mania we see today. Throughout each era, widebody kits have been created with a focus on both aesthetics and performance, often drawing inspiration from racing.

When it comes to the Liberty Walk kit for the Ford Bronco, it surprisingly works well. While most of their kits are designed for sleek supercars with defined design themes, the Bronco is a large, industrial vehicle. The exposed rivets and sinuous shapes of the Liberty Walk kit, which may seem out of place on a Lamborghini or Ferrari, actually complement the Bronco's rugged aesthetic. In fact, the kit looks like it could have been factory-installed.

Compared to Liberty Walk's more intense kits, the Bronco kit has a broader appeal.
