Liberty Walk's Ford Bronco Widebody vs Raptor: A Comparison

Japanese widebody kit maker Liberty Walk is known for its bolt-on widebody kits for modified street Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Nissan GT-Rs. However, they have now ventured into the realm of trucks with a widebody kit for the modern Ford Bronco. This unexpected move has resulted in a visually appealing kit that complements the ruggedness of the Bronco.

The concept of overfenders has evolved over time, often following the trends of widebody kits. Initially inspired by the fender flares of race cars in the '70s and '80s, widebodies then embraced the fiberglass bling craze of the '90s and '00s. Today, overfender mania is in full swing. While widebody kits have been primarily focused on style, they have occasionally drawn inspiration from racing and performance.

When it comes to the Liberty Walk kit for the Bronco, it surprisingly works well. Unlike their delicate kits for supercars, the Bronco is a robust and industrial vehicle. The exposed rivets and sinuous shapes of the Liberty Walk kit, which might seem out of place on a Lamborghini or Ferrari, actually enhance the Bronco's rugged aesthetic. In fact, it could easily pass as a factory option.

Compared to their other kits, the Liberty Walk kit for the Bronco is less intense but has the potential for mass appeal. Priced at $3,080, it offers Bronco owners a high-quality fender kit that adds visual toughness to their vehicles. It wouldn't be surprising to start seeing these kits on Bronco enthusiasts' rigs, both on and off the trails.
