Luxurious Features: Toyota's Expensive Vehicle
【Summary】Toyota's most expensive vehicle, the Capstone edition of the Sequoia SUV, offers luxurious features and technological options. With a base price of nearly $80,000, it includes extras such as an air suspension package. Despite its high price, the Sequoia only sold a little over 5,000 units in 2022.
Toyota, the best-selling auto brand in the United States, had a successful year in 2022 with nearly two million vehicles sold. While models like the RAV4, Camry, and Corolla were the top sellers, Toyota also saw strong sales in the truck and SUV categories with the Tacoma and Highlander, selling over 200,000 units of each domestically.
However, the full-sized Sequoia SUV was not as popular, with only a little over 5,000 units sold in 2022. This could be attributed to its estimated fuel economy of 20 MPG and a base price of nearly $60,000. But for customers who are not constrained by budget, Toyota offers a luxury trim version of the Sequoia known as the "Capstone" edition.
The Capstone edition of the Sequoia comes with additional luxury features and technological options, making the already massive SUV more comfortable and enjoyable for both the driver and passengers. These extras come at a cost, pushing the base price of the Capstone edition to almost $80,000. And if you opt for the available air suspension package, the price can go even higher, surpassing the $80,000 mark.
