Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is set to premiere an electrified crossover MPV concept car at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. This concept car aims to awaken the adventurous spirit of drivers and expand their horizons. Additionally, Mitsubishi Motors will also debut the all-new Triton2 pickup truck in Japan and showcase the Last 1 mile Mobility, a small mobility vehicle developed in collaboration with a start-up company.

The electrified crossover MPV concept car combines the road handling of an SUV with the comfort and user-friendliness of an MPV. It is designed with the goal of achieving a carbon-neutral society. The concept, known as Borderless Adventure, boasts a spacious cabin with a sense of openness. It offers a cruising range and driving performance that can handle various adventures. Drivers can enjoy the exhilarating driving experience of an electrified vehicle and switch driving modes as needed, allowing for limitless destinations.

This electrified crossover MPV features a high ground clearance and an electric four-wheel drive system. These features allow the large-diameter tires to grip the ground and perform precisely as the driver intends. Regardless of weather or road conditions, this vehicle provides a reliable and pleasant driving experience, giving drivers the confidence to go further than ever before.

The Last 1 mile Mobility is a small mobility vehicle developed in collaboration with LIFEHUB Inc., a start-up company working on the development and commercialization of next-generation mobility chairs. This compact mobility system, powered by used batteries from electrified vehicles, enables further adventures after reaching the car's destination.

The all-new Triton, developed under the concept of Power for Adventure, is a one-ton pickup truck with a completely revamped design, interior, frame, chassis, body, and engine. It is scheduled for launch in Japan early next year, marking its first entry into the Japanese market in about 12 years.

Key features of the all-new Triton include a newly-developed ladder frame for durability and reliability, a new 2.4L clean diesel turbo engine for higher power output and enhanced environmental performance, excellent ride comfort and steering stability thanks to the newly developed suspension, and superior road performance with the Super Select 4WD-II and upgraded drive modes. The exterior boasts a commanding front-end design and robust styling, while the interior is classy, functional, and easy to operate. The vehicle also offers improvements in collision safety performance, driver assist features, and comfortability, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

The Japan Mobility Show 2023, organized by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc., will take place from October 25 to November 5 at Tokyo Big Sight. Press days are on October 25 and 26, followed by a special invitation day on October 27. The event will be open to the general public from October 28 to November 5.
