New car releases in 2023

Looking for a new car in 2023? Our comprehensive guide is the perfect starting point. We have compiled a list of all the major model launches scheduled for the next 12 months, covering everything from supercars to superminis, electric cars to V12s, and hybrids to hot hatchbacks.

The shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) is having some unintended consequences, as car manufacturers are pushing combustion technology to its limits before it becomes obsolete. However, amidst the new nameplates, manufacturers have not completely abandoned the familiar models we know and love. So, while there are exciting new releases like the Spectre, you can still find classics like the 5 Series.

In the second half of 2023, there are several new models that you can expect to see in showrooms near you. Let's take a look at some of them:

Cars arriving in October 2023

BMW 5 Series: The highly anticipated eighth generation of BMW's premium saloon will be available with one pure-ICE variant in the UK. The entry-level 520i petrol model offers 205bhp and 236lb ft of torque. By mid-2024, two more powerful plug-in hybrids will be introduced, followed by a fully electric i5. The range-topping M60 xDrive will have an impressive 593bhp and 605lb ft of torque.

BMW i7 M70: The BMW i7 M70 is the brand's most powerful electric car to date. It features a dual-motor powertrain that delivers 650bhp and 811lb ft of torque to all four wheels. With this power, the 2.7-tonne limousine can go from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph. Prices for the i7 M70 start at £161,963.

Fisker Ocean: The long-awaited Fisker Ocean will finally arrive in the UK. This car comes with innovative technologies, including a solar roof that adds 1500 miles of range annually and a 113kWh battery pack that provides a range of 440 miles per charge.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N: Hyundai N's first and newest electric hot hatch is packed with tech. It boasts dual motors, offering up to 641bhp and a blistering 0-62mph time of just 3.4 seconds, beating even the BMW M3. To enhance the driving experience, it can jolt between shifts for a more engaging feel, and the engine soundtrack can be adjusted to emulate the sonic boom of fighter jets.
