New electric bike with pizza oven for Domino's delivery
【Summary】Domino's is introducing a new delivery e-bike called the dxb, which has a built-in pizza oven. The bike features a fan-forced pizza oven at the rear and is equipped with 20" street tires and a wide rear wheel stand for stability. It also has "space-age suspension" to ensure pizzas are delivered in good condition. However, the dxb e-bike will only be available in Domino's Pizza Enterprises (DPE) markets, which include countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
Domino's Pizza is introducing a new delivery e-bike called the dxb, which comes with a built-in pizza oven. This innovative bike is set to revolutionize pizza delivery.
The announcement was made by Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd, who claim to be venturing into uncharted territory with this new delivery bike.
The dxb delivery bike has a conventional-looking electric bike frame, but the real surprise lies in its rear. Domino's has installed a fan-forced pizza oven that is specially designed to provide a smooth and safe ride for the pizza cargo.
The bike features 20" street tires, a downtube-integrated battery, and a wide rear wheel stand to ensure stable parking with the top-heavy pizza oven.
While Domino's has previously used electric bikes for pizza delivery, the dxb takes it to a whole new level.
One concern might be the condition of the pizza upon delivery. However, Domino's has addressed this issue by equipping the bike with "space-age suspension" that reduces g-forces by 67%. This ensures that the pizza arrives at the customer's door in the same condition as it was made in-store.
Aside from the pizza oven, another cool feature of the dxb is its blue luminescent coating on the rims, along with frame-mounted lights to charge them up. These eye-catching features make the bike hard to miss.
Unfortunately for pizza lovers in the US, the dxb e-bike will only be available in Domino's Pizza Enterprises markets, which include Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Japan, Germany, Luxembourg, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia.
While the US transportation system has yet to embrace modernization, Domino's dxb bike sets a new standard for delivery efficiency.
In conclusion, the dxb is the most impressive purpose-built delivery electric bike in the pizza industry. However, it's worth noting that any utility e-bike can be a great option for food delivery, even without a built-in pizza oven. The US should take inspiration from cities like NYC and adopt more efficient bike-based food delivery systems.
