No return for Meghan Markle over Kate Middleton curtsey issue.
【Summary】Meghan Markle is unlikely to return to the UK due to the issue of curtseying to Kate Middleton, according to royal biographer Andrew Morton. He believes that Meghan and Prince Harry have their own lives in California and will not want to face this protocol. Prince Harry will be making a solo trip to the UK for the WellChild awards and the Invictus Games, but is not expected to meet with his father or brother.
A royal biographer has suggested that Meghan Markle will not want to return to the UK in the future and face curtseying to the Princess of Wales. Andrew Morton, who collaborated with Diana, Princess of Wales on his 1992 book Diana: Her True Story, ruled out a move back from the US for Meghan and the Duke of Sussex. He stated that they have their own lives in California and he doesn't see Meghan curtseying to Kate Middleton.
Royal Highnesses bow and curtsey only to majesties, so Meghan would only have to do so to Kate once the princess becomes Queen.
Prince Harry is set for a brief solo trip to the UK without Meghan this week to attend the WellChild awards in London on 7 September, before he heads to the Invictus Games in Germany, where Meghan will join him later.
During his visit, Harry is not said to be meeting his father, the King, or his brother, the Prince of Wales, due to their continued troubled relationship. Harry explored Meghan and Kate's fractious relationship in his autobiography, recounting incidents such as Meghan saying Kate was suffering from "baby brain" due to her "hormones" and Meghan sobbing on the floor over a disagreement about Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress.
Andrew described how Diana had wanted Harry to be a "wingman" to William and hoped Charles would move to Italy with Camilla, leaving William to become King. However, these plans never materialized.
Andrew's comments come shortly after the 26th anniversary of Diana's death and as unheard audio tapes of the late princess are due to air in an upcoming documentary.
