Skoda Enyaq Coupe vRS 2023 extended evaluation
【Summary】The Skoda Enyaq vRS electric car fails to live up to the sporty performance expectations of the vRS badge. However, it is still a great electric vehicle that offers practicality and functionality. The Enyaq Coupe stands out visually and resembles a slightly oversized saloon.
When we decided to run the Skoda Enyaq vRS in our long-term test fleet, our goal was to determine if the vRS badge could make an electric car exciting. Unfortunately, it seems that it cannot.
Despite adding an extra motor, increasing the power, and incorporating sporty design elements like sports seats and vRS-badged styling flourishes, the Enyaq vRS falls short of delivering the perfect combination of practicality, performance, and fun that Skoda's vRS line is known for.
However, this disappointment doesn't really matter. The Enyaq vRS may not be a great performance electric vehicle, but it is undeniably a great electric vehicle overall. If we remove the expectations created by the vRS badges, we find that the Enyaq vRS fulfills all the requirements of a family crossover, electric or otherwise, in a typically Skoda fashion.
In terms of visual appeal, our Enyaq vRS Coupe stands out from its SUV counterpart. It has a distinct appearance, resembling a slightly oversized saloon.
