EnergyForce, a renewable energy systems specialist, has been chosen to deliver a £1.4m solar and electric vehicle (EV) charging project for Rybrook Automotive Ltd, a national motor dealer. The project will involve the installation of nearly 4,000 solar PV panels and 71 EV charging stations across 17 sites in the Midlands and North West of England. This will result in 141 EV charging sockets being installed at BMW, MINI, and Jaguar Land Rover sites. Rybrook Automotive will be the first EnergyForce customer to have the new rapid chargers installed at its dealerships, with a capacity of 300KW/400KW.

Once the project is completed, it is expected to generate 1.39MW of energy and help offset approximately 302 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Rybrook Automotive is one of the largest privately owned car dealer groups in the UK, with showrooms located across the North West, South West, and the Midlands. The company represents various luxury and specialist car brands, including Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lotus, Maserati, McLaren, MINI, Pininfarina, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, and Volvo.

EnergyForce views its contract with Rybrook as a testament to its growing presence in the automotive retail sector. The company has already installed over 1,000 electric vehicle charge points at car dealerships and manages an average of 122 MWh of EV charging per month. In the current year alone, EnergyForce has delivered 759MWh of energy to charge EVs within the UK car dealership network, which represents a 100% increase compared to the previous 12 months.

Chris Kirkwood, chairman of EnergyForce, expressed his pride in supporting Rybrook Automotive's sustainability ambitions and expanding their EV charging capabilities. He emphasized the close collaboration between EnergyForce and Rybrook's dealership network to ensure the successful installation of the solar panels and chargers. Kirkwood highlighted the importance of generating clean energy to power the sites and meet the increasing demand for charging EVs.

Chris Page, property director at Rybrook Automotive, commended EnergyForce for working closely with their head office and center teams to meet their business needs for the multi-site solar and EV charging project. Page emphasized that the solutions provided by EnergyForce were tailored to the specific requirements of each site. He expressed excitement about the future benefits of the project and how it aligns with Rybrook's long-term business strategy to increase sustainability.
