Suzuki Fronx Launch

Suzuki has cleverly combined the words "frontier" and "cross-over" to create the name "Fronx" for their new vehicle. The name represents the way the vehicle crosses a frontier for Suzuki in the market segment and how its design crosses a frontier between SUV and coupé. The "X" in the name signifies the crossover nature of the Fronx. Not only does the name sound cool, but the drive is also impressive.

If you're looking for value for money, the Suzuki Fronx is the vehicle for you. In South Africa, approximately 79.3% of all volume sales fall within the price range of R300,000 to R375,000. The Fronx is priced ideally between R279,900 and R335,900, offering great bang for your buck.

The Suzuki Fronx introduces a new styling concept to the Suzuki lineup - that of a coupé SUV. It combines style, performance, and value-for-money motoring, proving that buyers don't have to compromise on these aspects in the compact SUV segment. According to Brendon Carpenter, the brand marketing manager of Suzuki Auto South Africa, the Fronx aims to show South Africans that they can have style, performance, and safety all in one.

The design of the Fronx shares similarities with other recent models in the Suzuki lineup, such as the Grand Vitara and the Suzuki Baleno. The design language, called Crafted Futurism, combines a sense of well-built quality with forward-thinking styling. The result is a combination of signature Suzuki SUV design elements and new design elements, including a swooping roofline, bold wheel arches, dual-layer front lights, large alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps.

Suzuki understands the importance of personalization, especially for young and young-at-heart buyers who want to stand out from the crowd. That's why the Fronx will be offered in a variety of colors and color combinations, including Arctic White Pearl, Splendid Silver Pearl Metallic, Grandeur Grey Pearl Metallic, Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic, Lucent Orange Pearl Metallic, and Bluish Black Pearl exterior paint.

The spacious cabin of the Suzuki Fronx is equipped with all the conveniences you would expect for its price, and even some surprises. All versions of the Fronx come with a leather-clad multi-function steering wheel that includes buttons for Bluetooth connectivity, audio controls, and cruise control. Cruise control is a standard feature across all versions. The steering wheel is adjustable for height, and GLX models also have reach adjustment. Other features include electric windows front and rear, automatic climate control with rear-seat ventilation, central locking, electric power steering, dual rear-mounted USB charging points, and a center console box that doubles as an armrest and storage compartment.

All versions of the Suzuki Fronx are powered by the K15B engine, which is known for its fuel efficiency. This 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine delivers 77kW of power and 138Nm of torque. It is available with either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission.

Suzuki is rapidly growing in popularity in South Africa, with models like the Swift and Jimny winning awards in the Car of the Year competition. The Fronx offers a comfortable ride and handling, with an average fuel consumption of around 5.7 liters per 100 kilometers. It provides excellent value for money and has a spacious interior that can comfortably seat five adults, with ample boot space.
