The user explained that they initially spotted a Cybertruck on a tow truck and decided to wait in a parking lot to see if it would pass by. Just as they were about to leave, they witnessed the Cybertruck towing a trailer, prompting them to follow along and capture the footage.
Interestingly, some of the first videos were captured using the Rivian Drive Cam on the Rivian R1T, adding an unexpected coincidence to the Cybertruck sightings.
The Tesla Cybertruck is expected to offer impressive towing capabilities. While the final production specifications have not been revealed, the manufacturer has stated that the towing capability will exceed 14,000 pounds. This surpasses the towing capacities of the Ford F-150 Lightning (up to 10,000 pounds) and the Rivian R1T (11,000 pounds).
In terms of payload capacity, the Cybertruck can handle up to 3,500 pounds. The company's website also confirms the initial performance numbers, including a range of up to 500 miles and 0-60 miles per hour acceleration in as little as 2.9 seconds. It is important to note that the exact figures may vary depending on the specific version of the Cybertruck, as the manufacturer only hints at the top numbers in each category.
Limited production and first customer deliveries of the Cybertruck are expected later this year. By 2024, Tesla aims to ramp up production volume for the Cybertruck.
