Tesla's executive plans to distribute a mere 10 Cybertrucks at delivery event.
【Summary】Tesla will only deliver 10 Cybertrucks at the upcoming delivery event, according to an executive. The company has yet to announce specs and pricing for the production version of the vehicle, leading to speculation that it would initially be delivered to employees and insiders. CEO Elon Musk has cautioned against high expectations for Cybertruck production. Tesla is expected to ramp up production in the future, with a goal of reaching 5,000 units per week by 2025.
Tesla is set to deliver only 10 Cybertrucks at its upcoming delivery event, as confirmed by a company executive. After years of anticipation and some delays, the electric car manufacturer will finally unveil the Cybertruck on November 30th.
Speculations have been circulating that Tesla would initially deliver the electric pickup truck to employees and company insiders, as the production version's specifications and pricing have not yet been announced. The number of Cybertrucks to be delivered at the event was also unclear.
Despite hopes that Tesla could quickly deliver a large number of Cybertrucks, given the sightings of production at Gigafactory Texas in recent months, CEO Elon Musk has cautioned against high expectations for Cybertruck production.
Adding to the discussion, Tesla's product design director, Javier Verdura, spoke about the Cybertruck launch at a conference in Monterrey, Mexico. He revealed that the company plans to deliver the first 10 Cybertrucks at the event.
While this number may seem low to some, it aligns with Tesla's past vehicle programs, where production launches typically begin with a limited volume. The expectation is that production will gradually increase from there.
Musk has previously stated that it would take approximately 18 months for Tesla to reach a production rate of 5,000 Cybertrucks per week, with the goal of achieving this volume production by 2025.
