Of course, practicality is the Commercial's strong point - 16 August

The cabin of the Toyota Corolla Commercial is designed with practicality in mind. There are numerous cubbyholes to prevent items from rattling or being left on display. The centre slot alone provides ample space for your phone, wallet, and keys. Additionally, the heated seat switches are conveniently located on the centre console, just ahead of the gear selector. This positioning allows for some mischievous fun, as you can easily turn on your passenger's heated seat without them noticing.

Our electrified Corolla is a noisy machine - 2 August

While the Toyota Corolla Commercial is a hybrid vehicle, its electric motors produce some unusual noises. They clunk and groan in a way that I have never experienced before. Occasionally, they even tick like a hidden time bomb. Interestingly, the noise generated at low speeds is louder than that of the four-cylinder petrol engine. This is due to pedestrian safety regulations.

Lights that alert you to potential danger can be a lifesaver - 26 July

One common complaint about modern cars is their overzealous warning systems. However, the Toyota Corolla Commercial seems to have gotten it right. The vehicle comes equipped with lane keeping assistance, active cruise control, emergency steering assistance, and collision avoidance systems. These features are made possible by a small radar system hidden behind the front grille. What sets them apart is that they actually work and are not overly intrusive.

The active cruise control feature is particularly impressive. Although it can be initially challenging to activate, once engaged, it takes control of the accelerator, brakes, and steering. This feature is especially useful in slow-moving traffic, as it allows the driver to relax and trust that the vehicle knows what it's doing.
