Toyota Rumion, now available for booking at Rs 10.29 lakh

Toyota Rumion, now available for booking at Rs 10.29 lakh

Toyota has officially announced the start of bookings and the prices of the new Toyota Rumion. The MPV is priced at Rs 10.29 lakh onwards, ex-showroom, and is available in six grades. Toyota says that deliveries will commence from the 8th of September onwards.

The Toyota Rumion is offered in various grades with different pricing options. The S MT (Petrol) is priced at Rs 10,29,000, the S AT (Petrol) at Rs 11,89,000, the G MT (Petrol) at Rs 11,45,000, the V MT (Petrol) at Rs 12,18,000, the V AT (Petrol) at Rs 13,68,000, and the S MT (CNG) at Rs 11,24,000.

This 7-seater MPV is powered by the 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine. In its petrol form, the engine produces 102bhp and 137Nm of torque. When running on CNG, the engine output is slightly reduced to 87bhp and 122Nm of torque. The Rumion offers both manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options.

The interior of the new Toyota Rumion boasts a 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. It also features Toyota i-Connect, which allows users to remotely set the climate control and operate other functions. The MPV has a dual-tone interior with wood inserts, giving it a premium feel.

In terms of safety, the Rumion is equipped with dual front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, an engine immobilizer, and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), among other features. It will compete against its sibling from Maruti Suzuki, the Ertiga and XL6, as well as the Kia Carens and other similar vehicles in the segment.
