However, the situation is quite different for traditionally-powered used cars.
According to Auto Trader's latest Retail Price Index, used car retail prices have been on the rise for the past 41 months. This indicates a positive trend in the market for used cars.
Using the same data, we can now identify the used cars that have seen the biggest increases in value this month. The figures, which analyze cars sold in the month ending August 20, reveal that the Peugeot Partner Teepee has experienced the largest hike in value, with a year-on-year rise of 17.1%.
The top 10 list includes small and affordable cars like the Fiat Panda, Volkswagen Beetle, and Hyundai i30. Other models on the list are the Volkswagen up!, Citroen Berlingo, and Hyundai i10. The only premium brand model to make the list is the Mercedes SL Class.
