The Vmoto APD Concept, a new electric scooter, has been unveiled at the EICMA Show in Italy. Designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, the renowned Italian design house, the scooter features futuristic and aerodynamic styling that immediately captures attention.
Based in Perth, Australia, Vmoto is an electric motorcycle maker with production facilities in Nanjing, China. The company's latest project with Pininfarina is a "vision" study that previews a production model set to join Vmoto's range in the near future.
The Vmoto APD Concept is classified as a "maxi scooter" and competes with eye-catching models like the BMW CE 04. It boasts a generously sized saddle and optional storage compartments. The scooter's design prioritizes aerodynamics, benefiting from Pininfarina's wind tunnel expertise.
The scooter's bodywork features sharp lines, thin LEDs, interweaving surfaces, and a multi-color approach, giving it a distinct sci-fi aesthetic. The standout feature is the "Kammback" tail with a curved LED taillight that adds a retro-futuristic touch. Additionally, the scooter offers a bespoke bag that extends the saddle, providing extra storage space along with a removable rear compartment.
Vmoto has not released the specifications of the electric powertrain for the scooter. However, the production version is expected to debut in 2024. Like other Vmoto models, it will likely be produced in China.
Those attending the EICMA 2023 in Milan will have the opportunity to see the Vmoto APD Concept in person from November 9 to 12.
