Volkswagen's latest model, the Tiguan, can now be ordered in Europe.

The third generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan, a compact SUV, has been completely redesigned and developed from scratch. It is now available for pre-sales in Europe. The new Tiguan features new hybrid drives with an all-electric range of approximately 100 km, making it more efficient than ever before. The cockpit has been redesigned to offer a more intuitive experience with digital services and apps. The latest Park Assist technology automates parking, while the adaptive running gear DCC Pro enhances comfort and dynamics. The SUV also incorporates premium features like pneumatic massage seats and IQ.LIGHT HD matrix headlights, inspired by the Touareg model. The base version of the Tiguan starts at 36,600 euros in Germany.

The design of the new Tiguan is both familiar and fresh. It retains the typical Tiguan and Volkswagen style but with a higher, more powerful-looking front end. LED headlights are integrated into the front, and a glass-covered horizontal bar with an optional LED strip replaces the traditional radiator grille. The drag coefficient has also improved from 0.33 to 0.28. The silhouette is dominated by athletic shoulder sections above the wheel housings, and the SUV can be equipped with wheels up to 20 inches in size. The rear end is emphasized by a horizontal LED strip between the tail light clusters.

Volkswagen has completely redesigned the interior of the Tiguan based on customer feedback. The cabin now features high-quality materials and a high finish standard, breaking conventional class boundaries. The latest modular infotainment matrix (MIB4) components are integrated, creating a well-designed and user-friendly cockpit. The new Digital Cockpit, a large infotainment screen with a new menu structure, a head-up display, and a multifunction driving experience switch with an integrated OLED display are some of the advanced features included. The new IDA voice assistant allows for easy control of various vehicle functions using natural language.

The all-new Tiguan offers a range of efficient drive systems, including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, turbocharged petrol, and turbocharged diesel options. Two 48 V mild hybrid drives are available immediately, delivering outputs of 96 kW (130 PS) and 110 kW (150 PS) with automatic Active Cylinder Management. The Tiguan can also be configured with a TDI engine delivering 110 kW (150 PS). Additional drive versions, including plug-in hybrid options with an all-electric range of around 100 km, will be introduced in 2024. All Tiguan models come standard with an automatic direct shift gearbox (DSG).

The new Tiguan offers optional ergoActive Plus seats with pneumatic lumbar adjustment and a pressure massage function, providing comfort for long journeys. The seats also include heating and ventilation features that can be activated automatically based on the outside temperature.

There are four equipment versions available for the Tiguan: Tiguan, Life, Elegance, and R-Line. The base Tiguan version comes with standard features like the Digital Cockpit, infotainment system, Car2X warning system, and various assist systems. The Life version adds features like three-zone Climatronic, comfort seats, and Park Assist Plus. The Elegance and R-Line versions offer additional equipment details such as LED Plus headlights, background lighting package, and ergoActive front seats with massage function. The Tiguan R-Line also features a sporty design with specific interior and exterior elements.

The all-new Tiguan represents a significant update in terms of design, technology, and efficiency. With its range of drive systems and advanced features, it aims to provide a premium and comfortable SUV experience.
