CamperKing has officially announced the release of its newest day van, the Pursuit. This leisure van has been in development for nearly a decade and combines elements of the Volkswagen Kombi passenger vehicle, a panel van, and a full campervan conversion.

Spencer Grey, the Managing Director of CamperKing, explains the purpose of the Pursuit, stating, "We're launching the Pursuit to cater to the adventurous and free-spirited individuals who require a versatile vehicle that can meet all their daily needs. It provides a spacious load space, various passenger-carrying options, off-grid capabilities, and much more. We designed the Pursuit to promote independence and freedom from the limitations of everyday camping. It offers the flexibility to be used for work one day and a weekend adventure the next. With its versatility and attention to detail, we believe the Pursuit will appeal to a wide range of potential owners."

The Pursuit is based on the Volkswagen Transporter T6.1 and is available in two layouts: a two-berth (Pursuit 2) and a four-berth (Pursuit 4), both offered in short or long wheelbase options.

This new model features a bespoke rail-floor system with four floor-bonded rails that are compatible with various accessories and equipment. It includes a full-width folding rear three-seater bed manufactured by Mobiframe, a 60-litre underslung fresh water tank, a high-pressure shower attachment, and three 20Ah lithium leisure batteries. The Pursuit also comes with CamperKing's power management system, curtains throughout, and a choice of upholstery finishes.

By pulling the three-seater bed forward on the rails, a large storage area is created at the back of the vehicle. This area can be utilized for transporting bikes, paddleboards, camping gear, fishing tackle, toolboxes, building supplies, and more.

The Pursuit 2 does not have a pop-top roof but can be fitted with an optional roof rack system from Front Runner, a leading overland camping kit manufacturer. The roof rack system includes jerry cans, water containers, storage boxes, and carriers for adventure equipment such as paddleboards and bikes. These Front Runner items are also available for separate purchase at shop.camperking.co.uk.

On the other hand, the Pursuit 4 has a CamperKing pop-top roof that provides two additional berths for those who plan to camp with their family. The roof can be equipped with optional 60W solar panels for enhanced power provision while on the move. Additionally, a half-roof rack supplied by Front Runner is also available for the Pursuit 4.

Inside the Pursuit, there is no typical campervan furniture kit or cooking facilities. Instead, the leisure system is concealed behind an interior panel, maximizing the internal space. Accessories compatible with the rail system, such as jump seats and modular cooking or washing pods, can be easily moved in and out of the vehicle as needed.
