2024 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV gets a complete interior revamp
【Summary】Skoda has revealed the interior of the upcoming 2024 Kodiaq, featuring physical dial controls that can be customized for different functions. The dials can manage cabin temperature, seat heating, seat ventilation, fan speed, air direction, sound system volume, driving mode, and sat-nav zoom. The new Kodiaq will also have a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10-inch digital instrument display, and an automatic gear selector on the steering wheel.
The next-generation Skoda Kodiaq will feature physical dial controls for critical functions, as revealed in new images released by the Czech firm. The three dials, located between the centre console and dashboard, can be customized to adjust various functions. Official images show the system being used to manage climate settings and stereo volume for the front occupants.
These dials allow the front occupants to control the cabin temperature, seat heating or ventilation, according to their preference. In addition, the central controller can modify fan speed, air direction, sound system volume, driving mode, and sat-nav map zoom.
Furthermore, the new Kodiaq will come equipped with a large 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument display. To maximize legroom for the front occupants, the automatic gear selector has been relocated from the centre console to a stalk on the steering wheel.
Connectivity is a key focus in the design of the new Kodiaq. USB-C ports are integrated into the rear-view mirror and centre console, along with a 15W wireless phone-charging box.
The Skoda Kodiaq has had a successful journey so far, with the first generation being followed by the popular Skoda Karoq and Kamiq models. Now, the Czech maker is returning to where it all began with the arrival of a new Kodiaq in early 2024.
The second-generation Kodiaq will continue to share parts with other Volkswagen Group models, including the new VW Tiguan. Pricing, trim levels, and equipment details will be confirmed later this year. The lineup is expected to include a standard Kodiaq, a sportier SportLine version, and most variants will offer seven seats. Additionally, a hotter Skoda Kodiaq vRS version is anticipated to join the range approximately a year later.
