2024 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV gets a complete interior revamp
【Summary】Skoda has revealed the interior of the 2024 Kodiaq, showcasing a new design with physical dial controls for key functions. The three dials can be customized to manage various features like climate settings, stereo volume, seat heating, and more. The SUV will also feature a large infotainment touchscreen, a digital instrument display, and a relocated automatic gear selector on the steering wheel. Connectivity is emphasized with USB-C ports and wireless phone charging integration.
The next-generation Skoda Kodiaq will feature physical dial controls for critical functions, as revealed in new images released by the Czech firm. The three dials, located between the centre console and the dashboard, can be customized to adjust different functions. Official images demonstrate the system's ability to manage climate settings and stereo volume for the front occupants.
These dials allow the front occupants to control the cabin temperature, seat heating or ventilation, according to their preference. Additionally, the central controller can modify fan speed, air direction, sound system volume, driving mode, and sat-nav map zoom.
In addition to the dial controls, the new Kodiaq will also feature a large 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument display. Furthermore, the automatic gear selector has been relocated from the centre console to a stalk on the steering wheel, creating more legroom for the front occupants.
Connectivity is another key aspect of the new Kodiaq's design. USB-C ports are integrated into the rear-view mirror and centre console, which also includes a 15W wireless phone-charging box.
The Skoda Kodiaq is part of a successful three-part series of SUVs released by the Czech maker. The upcoming second-generation Kodiaq, set to arrive in the first quarter of 2024, will continue to share parts with other Volkswagen Group models, including the new VW Tiguan. Trim levels, equipment, and prices will be confirmed later this year, but the range is expected to include a standard Kodiaq, a sportier SportLine version, and most variants will offer seven seats. Additionally, a hotter Skoda Kodiaq vRS version is anticipated to join the lineup approximately a year later.
