2024 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV gets complete interior makeover

The next-generation Skoda Kodiaq is set to have an impressive interior, as revealed by new images from the Czech firm. One notable feature is the inclusion of physical dial controls for important functions. These three dials, located between the centre console and dashboard, can be customized to adjust various settings. In the official images, they are shown managing the climate settings for the front occupants, with stereo volume control in between.

The dials on either side of the front occupants have the ability to control the cabin temperature, seat heating or ventilation, depending on the user's preference. The central controller, on the other hand, can adjust the fan speed, air direction, sound system volume, chosen driving mode, or the zoom level of the sat-nav map.

Aside from the dial controls, the new Kodiaq will also feature a large 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument display. In terms of design, the automatic gear selector has been moved from the centre console to a stalk on the steering wheel, providing more legroom for the front occupants.

Connectivity is another highlight of the new Kodiaq. USB-C ports are integrated into the rear-view mirror and centre console, with the latter also housing a 15W wireless phone-charging box.

The Skoda Kodiaq has had a successful journey so far, with the first generation being followed by the popular Karoq and Kamiq models. Now, the focus is back on the Kodiaq as the second-generation SUV is set to arrive in the first quarter of 2024. It will continue to share parts with other Volkswagen Group models, including the new VW Tiguan. Pricing, trim levels, and equipment details will be confirmed later this year, but there will be options for a standard Kodiaq as well as a sportier-looking SportLine version. Most versions will come with seven seats, and a hotter vRS version is expected to join the range in about a year.
