The 2025 model will be equipped with a 66.45-kWh battery and will have 313 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque, distributed to all four wheels. While its range, power, and charging times may not be exceptional compared to other electric compact crossovers, Mini hopes to capture buyers' attention with its unique charm.

Earlier this year, Mini unveiled its new business blueprint, signaling a shift towards long-range, high-performance electric vehicles. The brand no longer wants to offer low-range, low-power models targeted at urban areas. Mini wants to emphasize that its models are not toys, and the Countryman is the perfect example of this. As Mini's first compact crossover venture, the Countryman shares a platform with the BMW X1, but it required a significant battery upgrade to meet the demands of the 21st century.
