65mph Maeving RM1S is being developed
【Summary】Maeving is launching a faster version of its electric motorcycle, called the RM1S, with a top speed of 65mph. The company sent a message to existing customers about the upcoming launch. Details about the RM1S are still unknown, but it is expected to have more power and potentially a lighter weight. Speculations suggest there could be changes in visuals to give it a sporty tone.
Maeving is preparing to launch a new and improved version of its RM1 electric motorcycle, known as the RM1S. The announcement was made through a message sent to existing Maeving customers on August 22, 2023. According to the message, the RM1S will have a top speed of 65mph, which is 20mph faster than the standard model.
The message emphasized that the RM1S is the fastest and most powerful electric motorcycle offered by Maeving. It also mentioned that customers who had previously expressed interest in a faster model were being informed first about the upcoming launch.
Unfortunately, those of us who did not express interest in a faster model will have to wait a bit longer than the fortunate recipients of the message to access the pre-order page.
The original Maeving RM1 was introduced last year as the company's inaugural model. It was designed with a retro-styled aesthetic, aiming to evoke nostalgia for the motorcycle manufacturing heritage of the English Midlands, particularly in Coventry where Maeving is based.
Regarding the newly revealed RM1S, very little information has been disclosed apart from the increased top speed. It can be assumed that the higher speed will require more power and potentially more torque from the motor. However, it remains unclear whether the RM1S will be lighter than the standard version, as well as any other specific details about its chassis specifications.
There is speculation that the RM1S may also feature a more sporty appearance, but this is purely conjecture at this point. Until further information is released, the focus remains on the increased top speed of the bike.
For those interested, the standard RM1 can be viewed on the Maeving website. Additionally, there is a review available for the Maeving RM1 (2022) Electric Motorcycle, offering insight into the potential future of motorcycles.
