The Toyota Land Cruiser is set to undergo a radical transformation for the electric era. A new concept, called the Land Cruiser Se, will be showcased at the Tokyo motor show next week. This futuristic three-row SUV represents a departure from the traditional Land Cruiser design, with a focus on aerodynamic efficiency and modern styling cues.

The concept features a rakish roofline, angled bonnet, and heavily sculpted sides, giving it a more dynamic appearance. Slimline wraparound light bars, rear-view cameras, and low-profile tires add a touch of luxury to the overall design. The Land Cruiser Se shares design elements with the FT-3E SUV concept, suggesting that they will have similar styling, interiors, and performance.

Toyota's Tokyo show stand will also showcase its next-generation lineup of electric cars, set to arrive from 2026. The Land Cruiser Se, along with the FT-SE sports car and FT-3E crossover, are expected to be part of this new range. The brand has stated that their next-generation cars will have slimmer battery packs, allowing for more interior space and improved aerodynamics. These advanced lithium-ion batteries are said to offer a range of 621 miles.
