Exposed Tesla Cybertruck suspension system

A potential Tesla Cybertruck release candidate has been discovered on the side of the road in California after experiencing engine issues. A passerby took advantage of the situation by capturing some spy shots of the Cybertruck, including images of its suspension.

Photos of the abandoned Tesla Cybertruck have been circulating online, revealing a likely release candidate that had encountered engine troubles and was left covered on the roadside near Los Altos Hills in California. According to Electrek, a Tesla engineer attempted to fix the issue but ultimately had to resort to covering the vehicle and leaving it on the side of the road. This presented an opportunity for an inquisitive bystander to sneakily photograph the forsaken truck.

The images show the Tesla Cybertruck covered with a reflective sheet, but it is also evident that the vehicle features a familiar camouflage pattern. This suggests that it could potentially be a release candidate or even a prototype that underwent terrain testing in other parts of the world. A few shots of the bottom of the Cybertruck reveal a cluster of holes that may be intended for a truck reversing speaker.

In a subsequent report from the same source, numerous shots of the Tesla Cybertruck's suspension are shared, accompanied by additional insights from a former suspension engineer. According to the expert, the Cybertruck's suspension consists of a rear lower A-arm made of two welded steel pieces, which differs from the front casting. Additionally, there appears to be an actuator for dynamically adjusting the damping. Overall, the comments regarding the Cybertruck's suspension are mostly positive, describing it as simple yet robust, although it is noted that it could still be a prototype system.
