The Dusseldorf Caravan Salon recently showcased the newly updated V-Class Marco Polo, which boasts refreshed styling and a high-tech interior. Mercedes took the opportunity to unveil their plans for a range of electric camper vans, based on the VAN.EA architecture set to launch in 2026. These medium and large vans will be available with front- and all-wheel drive options.
Although details are currently limited due to the distant release date, Mercedes has confirmed that the electric RVs will be offered ex-factory and they will collaborate with international partners to establish a new industry standard for electric RVs.
In addition to their electric ambitions, Mercedes also revealed the facelifted V-Class Marco Polo at the show. The van features a more expressive front end with a new bumper and a larger grille, along with updated lighting units, a revised rear bumper, restyled wheels, and a refreshed color palette.
Inside the cabin, the V-Class Marco Polo adopts a minimalist design and introduces an all-new dashboard. The driver is greeted by new 12.3-inch displays, a modernized steering wheel, and a revamped center console. Other notable features include expanded ambient lighting, augmented reality navigation, and a heated steering wheel. Furthermore, the Airmatic air suspension can now level the van even on slightly uneven ground.
Aside from these updates, the V-Class Marco Polo retains its practicality. It comes with a pop-up roof that accommodates a bed for two people, and the rear seat can be transformed into an additional sleeping space. The cabin also boasts stylish cabinetry, a folding table, and a fully equipped kitchen complete with a cooktop and a sink.
For those with more modest budgets, the T-Class with the Marco Polo Module offers a basic option. It includes a two-person bed, and an optional kitchen unit can be added, featuring a sink and a gas burner. These amenities can be complemented by a small refrigerator.
