Ford of Europe is teasing a new camper van that is set to be unveiled on August 24. The company promises that the model will make your next outdoors trip an experience of a lifetime and will embrace the "VanLife" trend.
The teaser videos give us a glimpse of the exterior, revealing a sliding side window and a pop-up roof equipped with a solar panel. When the roof is raised, there will be enough room to stand inside the van. Inside, the van features classy counters, a refrigerated drawer, zippered window coverings, and a rear touchscreen display for adjusting the color changing lighting system. There is also a sink and what appears to be an external shower head or washer.
While Ford has not provided many details, it is speculated that the model could be the redesigned Transit Custom Nugget. The timing aligns with the introduction of the redesigned van last September, and the camper van variant is expected to debut at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon. The Transit Custom is available with various powertrain options, including EcoBlue diesels, plug-in hybrids, and electric variants.
