Honda's Sustainable Vehicles at Japan Mobility Show

Honda's presence at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 is marked by a diverse lineup of vehicles and concepts. From cars and bikes to robots and even an aircraft, Honda showcases its wide range of offerings. Taking center stage is the revived Prelude, now presented as a concept sports car with the intention of production.

But Honda doesn't stop there. Among its other notable exhibits are the Sustaina-C Concept, a sustainable small hatchback made from recycled materials, and the CI-MEV, a heavy quadricycle designed for autonomous adventures.

The Sustaina-C concept resembles a boxier version of the Honda e, featuring a body constructed from recycled acrylic resin. Honda also presents the Pocket Concept, a compact electric two-wheeler with futuristic styling, and the SC e: Concept, an electric scooter designed for urban environments with a swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: for convenient charging.

On the four-wheel front, Honda introduces the CI-MEV, a fully electric urban two-seater concept that combines "Cooperative Intelligence" and autonomous technology. It serves as a last-mile solution for individuals with limited mobility. Additionally, Honda showcases a mysterious light commercial EV prototype and the Honda Autonomous Work Vehicle, an experimental platform with various attachments.

However, Honda's exhibits extend beyond vehicles. The company presents an interior mockup of the HondaJet Elite II small business jet, an exterior scale model of the Honda eVTOL aircraft, and a gas turbine hybrid system currently in development. Other highlights include the "alter-ego" robot named Avatar, the Uni-One seated mobility device utilizing balance control, and the Power Exporter e: 6000 portable external power supply device. These electric products also utilize the swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack e:.

In an interactive twist, Honda invites visitors to create their own "dream project" using AI on a dedicated website. These drawings will be displayed on LED screens at the show alongside Honda's own projects, and visitors can take them home in the form of a card.
