Hyundai Elantra N global launch

Hyundai has recently launched the 2024 Elantra N globally, marking the eighth anniversary of the 'N' brand. The car is known as the Avante N in South Korea and the i30 Sedan N in Australia. As part of the launch, Hyundai released a performance film showcasing actual vehicles owned by N enthusiasts.

The new Elantra N has received a significant design update, featuring a wider front, an updated grille with the 'N' badge, side sills, a rear spoiler, 19-inch wheels, and dual exhaust tips. The headlights have also been redesigned to be sleeker, with the daytime running lights running across the breadth of the bonnet.

On the inside, the Elantra N offers sportier bucket seats compared to the standard Elantra. It also includes a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Bose speakers, connected car technology, and soft-touch materials on various surfaces.

To enhance the handling of the new Elantra N, Hyundai has made several changes. This includes reinforcing the engine mounts, tweaking the suspension and ESC, introducing a new steering gearbox yoke with joint friction reduction for improved steering precision, and adjusting the tire pressure to balance the load on the axles.

Powering the Elantra N is a specially designed 2.0-litre GDi turbocharged engine, specifically tailored for the N range. This engine produces an impressive 276bhp and 392Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed DCT gearbox, allowing the Elantra N to achieve a top speed of 280kmph.
