Hyundai Steel raises HR product prices in September
【Summary】Hyundai Steel has raised its prices for hot rolled products in September due to a retail recovery. The company added KRW 50,000/tonne ($37.5/t) to its flat products, showing confidence in the start of the peak season.
Hyundai Steel, a South Korean company, has announced that it will be raising its list prices for hot rolled products for September shipment. This decision comes as a result of a recent retail recovery in the market. The company has increased the prices of its flat products by KRW 50,000/tonne ($37.5/t), which is the same as Posco's price increase for September domestic sales. Despite current inventories and other challenges, this price increase demonstrates the confidence of BF-BoF steelmakers as they enter the traditional peak season.
