Married At First Sight UK star Peggy Rose Lawrence is devastated after her white Range Rover Sport, worth £100k, was stolen on November 23. Peggy, 32, expressed her sorrow on social media, but did not provide details about where the theft occurred. She also admitted that she did not have a "ghost immobiliser" installed on the car, which would have made it undrivable.
In a post on Instagram, Peggy shared a photo of her car, which has a retail price ranging from £103,720 to £207,260. She also mentioned that the car had a personalized number plate: "NEW 7DY", which stands for 'new toy'.
In a video posted on her Instagram stories, Peggy urged other owners of the same car to install a ghost immobiliser to prevent theft. She wrote, "Still can't believe my pride and joy was stolen! Please everyone who has one, get a ghost immobiliser fitted if you haven't already!" Ghost immobilisers require a pin code to activate the engine and help prevent car theft.
This unfortunate incident comes shortly after Peggy hinted at a major career change following her appearance on Channel 4's Married at First Sight. Despite facing challenges during the show, Peggy and her husband Georges Berthonneau decided to continue their relationship and renewed their vows at the end of the series.
However, Peggy now appears to be moving away from her reality TV fame as the show concluded. She is now venturing into the adult panto scene, playing the role of Fairy Barbie in a West End production of Jack and His Giant Bigstalk. The play is based on the popular English fairytale of Jack and the Beanstalk. Peggy will be joined by former Big Brother star Simon Gross, who is both starring in and producing the show.
