Lanzador EV concept leaks before Lamborghini's official debut
【Summary】The Lamborghini Lanzador EV concept, the brand's first fully electric car, has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling at Monterey Car Week. The images reveal a high-riding 2+2 design with elements from the Lamborghini Urus and Sián. The interior features digital displays for both the driver and front passenger, along with a practical layout that includes foldable rear seats and ample cargo space. The Lanzador will be sold in limited numbers, similar to the Sián.
The Lamborghini Lanzador concept, which gives us a glimpse of the company's upcoming fully electric car, has been revealed earlier than expected. Images of the car were leaked on social media before its official debut at Monterey Car Week.
The leaked images confirm that the Lanzador will be a high-riding 2+2 vehicle, combining design elements from the Lamborghini Urus and Sián. Its silhouette is reminiscent of the 2008 Estoque concept, although that particular design never made it to production.
Inside the Lanzador, there are two digital displays: one for the instrument panel in front of the driver and another for the infotainment system in front of the passenger. The center console features various controls, including a starter button inspired by fighter jets.
The car's seating arrangement consists of thin, frame-like bucket seats for each occupant. The rear seats can be folded over their bases, although not completely flat, to create additional cargo space. The leaked images also suggest that the Lanzador has a spacious hatchback boot and a frunk that can accommodate specially made overnight bags.
Similar to the limited-edition Sián, the Lanzador will only be available in a limited number. This approach allows Lamborghini to showcase the design and technology that will be featured in their upcoming Revuelto hypercar.
When Lamborghini announced the concept's unveiling at Monterey, they explained that the company has a history of creating one-off models that provide a glimpse into their future direction. These prototypes serve as a platform for design and technical experimentation. In recent years, Lamborghini has introduced the concept of "few-offs," which are limited-run cars exclusively for their most loyal customers. These cars often incorporate advanced technology that will be used in future production models. The same strategy will be employed with the Lanzador, as it represents Lamborghini's first venture into fully electric vehicles.
