Lexus and its parent company Toyota have been pioneers in hybrid engines but have been slower to embrace electric vehicles. However, they have now released the RZ450e, their first all-electric vehicle. James Fisher had the opportunity to test drive it.

However, Fisher did encounter some challenges when driving the car. The RZ450e is equipped with numerous driving aids, including a system that monitors the driver. While these safety features are well-intentioned, they can be overwhelming and make the driver feel less in control. Additionally, the system's notifications are not always clear, leaving the driver unsure of their meaning.

Despite these challenges, Fisher found the RZ450e to be a fun car to drive. The acceleration is impressive, and the car handles well thanks to its low center of gravity and advanced suspension. It offers a balance between excitement and practicality.
