MINI's latest 5-Door Hatch design revealed

Confirmation has been received that there will be a next-generation MINI 5-Door Hatch, joining the recently revealed three-door model. Rendering expert Theophilus Chin has utilized his skills to create renders of what this new model may look like.

Using the latest MINI Cooper Electric as a base, Theo has stretched the vehicle's body and adjusted the doors, windows, and pillars accordingly. The design elements from the three-door model, such as the round headlamps, triangular taillights, flush door handles, and wheels, have all been incorporated.

Currently, the 5-Door Hatch does not offer an electric powertrain, unlike the previous and latest generations of the 3-Door. However, this is expected to change with the next model. As previously mentioned, the 5-Door Hatch is anticipated to have separate platforms for fully electric and internal combustion engine versions, similar to the new 3-Door.

MINI has announced two electric variants of the latest 3-Door, the Cooper E and SE, which provide up to 218 PS, 330 Nm, and an electric vehicle range of up to 402 km. It remains unknown if the next 5-Door will offer the same options or improved ones to compensate for the additional weight due to its larger body.

The upcoming 5-Door is also expected to feature the same retro-inspired interior as the 3-Door. This includes a large circular OLED touchscreen on the dashboard, serving as both a control panel for various vehicle functions and a speedometer. While it will still be some time before we see the all-new 5-Door, what are your thoughts on these renders?
