A social media user has gained praise for taking revenge on his "entitled" neighbor who would drive through his garden to park his cars. The neighbor, named Richard, used to park his Porsche in the backyard and would drive beyond the separation line of the two houses to do so. However, the user's next-door neighbor decided to take action after becoming fed up with Richard's inconsiderate behavior.
Sharing the story on Reddit, the user @LnGass explained that his parents had lived in the same house for 50 years and had three neighbors on the north side during that time. The first neighbor was a hermit named Elenore, who passed away when the user was in high school. After a few years, Richard bought the property.
One day, the user returned home to find Richard cutting down the bushes on their property. The user and his father confronted Richard, informing him that those were their bushes and they were not happy about it. Richard, however, didn't care and claimed that he needed to cut down the bushes to park his cars in the backyard.
Despite being offered a logical solution by the user's father, Richard stormed off and the next day the bushes were gone. With the bushes removed, Richard began driving his cars through the user's property and into the backyard for the night.
Fed up with Richard's behavior, the neighbors decided to install a metal fence to mark the property line and prevent Richard from damaging their lawn. They placed the fence posts 5 inches on their side of the property line, making it difficult for Richard to drive past them.
When Richard returned home and saw the newly installed fence, he became angry and could be heard cursing and yelling for hours. He managed to get one of his cars out, but it suffered serious damage to the side, with scrapes along the length of the car. Additionally, the fence was skewed and leaned towards the neighbors' property.
The neighbors called the police and reported the damage, resulting in Richard being given a ticket. Users on Reddit praised the courageous neighbors for their actions, with many agreeing that Richard's behavior was unacceptable. Some even joked about suing over the bushes and shared negative experiences with people named Richard.
