New Camper Van in the Works for Ford in Europe

Ford of Europe is set to unveil a new camper van on August 24, joining their lineup of new vans. The company promises that this model will enhance the outdoor experience and embrace the popular "VanLife" trend. Teaser videos show glimpses of the exterior, revealing a sliding side window and a pop-up roof equipped with a solar panel. With the roof raised, there will be enough space to stand inside the van.

Although there isn't much else shown in the teasers, the van is expected to have classy counters, a refrigerated drawer, zippered window coverings, and a rear touchscreen display for adjusting the color changing lighting system. Additionally, there appears to be a sink and an external shower head or washer. Ford has kept details under wraps, but it is speculated that the model could be the redesigned Transit Custom Nugget, based on the rear quarter glass and the timing of its introduction. The redesigned van was unveiled last September, and the camper van variant is likely to debut at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon.

Full details about the camper van will be revealed soon, but we know that the Transit Custom is available with various powertrain options, including EcoBlue diesels with outputs ranging from 108 hp to 168 hp. There are also plug-in hybrid and electric variants available. Ford enthusiasts and fans of the #VanLife movement are eagerly awaiting the upcoming reveal from Ford.
