Pininfarina made a big splash at Monterey Car Week with the introduction of a stunning new convertible hypercar. This limited-edition vehicle, named the B95, comes with a hefty price tag of $4.78 million and only 10 units will be produced.
The B95 showcases Pininfarina's new design philosophy, combining classic proportions and intricate details with cutting-edge technology. Its retro-futuristic style is evident in the sleek lines and exquisite craftsmanship. The open-top body, denoted by the "B" in its name, adds to its charm. The car's body is finished in a glossy Bronzo Superga paint with gold metallic flakes, complemented by black exposed carbon detailing and forged aluminum wheels.
While the B95 lacks a traditional windshield, Pininfarina has come up with a clever solution to protect passengers from wind. The car is equipped with the world's first electronically adjustable aero screens, inspired by vintage fighter planes. These clear polycarbonate panels, attached to exposed aluminum supports, can be raised or lowered by the driver as needed. Pininfarina ensures that this innovative feature does not compromise the car's minimalist design.
Underneath its stunning exterior, the B95 boasts impressive performance capabilities. It shares the same powertrain as the Battista hyper GT, but with Pininfarina's own tuning. The EV is powered by four individual motors, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under two seconds and reach a top speed of 186 mph. The car is equipped with a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery that can be fast-charged from 20 to 80 percent capacity in just 25 minutes. While the exact range of the B95 has not been specified, the Battista can cover 300 miles on a single charge.
Inside the cabin, the B95 offers a luxurious experience. The sculptural dashboard and enveloping race seats are adorned with tan leather, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Black aluminum accents further enhance the seamless integration of the interior and exterior design.
What sets the B95 apart is its exclusivity and customization options. Each of the 10 examples will be unique, allowing collectors to personalize their vehicles. From laser-engraved aluminum door plates to bespoke helmets, owners can create a truly bespoke experience. With its unparalleled style, performance, and customization options, the Pininfarina B95 is set to become a coveted collector's item.
