Porsche is celebrating not one, but two significant milestones this year. In addition to its 75th anniversary as a brand, the German automaker is also commemorating the 60th anniversary of its iconic sports car, the Porsche 911. To mark this special occasion, Porsche has introduced the Porsche 911 S/T and released two sneaker designs inspired by both the 911 S/T and the original 911 S.

The Porsche 911 S/T is a lightweight car that draws inspiration from the 1972 911 S. This model features the naturally-aspirated flat-six engine from the 911 GT3 RS, paired with a manual gearbox that offers shorter ratios and a single-mass flywheel. The combination of these features results in an exhilarating driving experience.

Porsche Design has also paid tribute to the classic 911 S 2.5 with the release of the Puma Retro Sneaker. This sneaker showcases the same light blue exterior as the 911 S 2.5, along with a retro-grille-bad hangtag design. The heel of the sneaker even features the number 56, which pays homage to the Porsche 911 that participated in GT racing in 1972. Although the car did not officially bear the S/T name at that time, it was the first to incorporate "S" special racing components. The red-orange laces of the sneaker add a touch of the iconic Gulf Oil livery to its overall look.
