Record-breaking Lamborghini Urus auction
【Summary】Carwow's auction sold a Lamborghini Urus for a record-breaking £305,050, with a potential profit margin of £35,000. This follows previous high-priced sales of a Porsche 911 GT3 and a Bentley Continental GT. Carwow's reputation as a quality auction platform for dealers is growing, offering unique stock and lower fees.
Carwow, an online car auction platform, achieved its highest ever used car sale price this week. A Lamborghini Urus fetched an impressive £305,050 in Tuesday's auction, making it the star of the show. The luxury SUV, with a 2023 registration plate and 1,500 miles on the clock, attracted immediate interest from prospective buyers.
A total of 16 dealers battled it out for the coveted vehicle, ultimately pushing the price £95,000 over its cap 'clean' value. This record-breaking sale price highlights the popularity of carwow's online auctions and the willingness of buyers to pay a premium for sought-after vehicles.
The Lamborghini Urus joins a prestigious lineup of cars that have achieved impressive selling prices on carwow this year. Notable examples include a Porsche 911 GT3, which sold for £181,000, and a Bentley Continental GT 6.0 W12, which was secured for £176,500.
John Veichmanis, the CEO of carwow, expressed his delight at the success of the auction. He emphasized the platform's commitment to meeting dealer demand while maintaining high-quality standards. Veichmanis stated, "Our daily online auctions are tightly controlled to ensure that only retail-ready stock makes the cut. Many dealer partners have praised our auctions for providing them with a wide range of quality stock that is not typically available through other sources."
In addition to offering a diverse selection of quality vehicles, carwow aims to help dealers maximize their profits. They achieve this by keeping their buyers' fees lower than the competition and not requiring a subscription. This approach has solidified carwow's reputation as a reliable auction platform and a trusted source of top-tier used cars.
