Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail: A £25M Masterpiece

Rolls-Royce has unveiled a one-of-a-kind car called 'La Rose Noire', which is the world's most expensive and exclusive new car. The car, priced at £25 million, was commissioned by a super-rich couple from a prominent international family with a deep connection to France. The car is inspired by the Black Baccara Rose, which is beloved by the mother of the commissioning family. The car changes color depending on how it is viewed and features a specially created 'True Love' shade of dark red paint. It is described as a romantic celebration of the couple who commissioned it and is one of four Droptails that will be produced.

The car was presented to the client and her family at a private event during the Monterey Car Week in California. Rolls-Royce has not revealed the identity of the wealthy commissioning client, but there are clues suggesting their potential identity, including their love of cars, fashion, art, and champagne. The car was designed in close cooperation with the client and her family and represents their passion for detail and glamour distilled.

The La Rose Noire Droptail is a two-door, two-seater convertible with a removable low-slung hard-top that can transform it into a coupe with an electro-chromatic glass roof section. The car features a specially created 'True Love' shade of dark red paint, as well as the most complex wood parquetry inlays in Rolls-Royce's history. The interior also includes a removable luxury timepiece from Audemars Piguet and a Rolls-Royce champagne chest and cooler.

The car is powered by a 593bhp 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 engine and can accelerate from 0-62mph in around five seconds. It is 5.3 metres long, 2 meters wide, and 1.5 meters high. The car's design is inspired by coachbuilt cars from the early 20th century, with a raised rear tail that pays homage to the first 100mph Rolls-Royce of 1912.

The identity of the mystery buyer is still unknown, but there are clues suggesting that they are a prominent international family with a notable collection of motor cars, fashion icons, and art objects. The family has a deep connection to France and a love for the Black Baccara Rose. The car's bespoke features and design elements reflect the family's passion for luxury and connoisseurship.

The La Rose Noire Droptail is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and design, with intricate wood parquetry artwork, specially commissioned timepiece, and a unique champagne chest. The car's color and paintwork are inspired by the Black Baccara Rose, and its exterior features a unique grille and bling-free trim. The wheels of the car also have a unique finish that changes color depending on the angle they are viewed at.
