Home > Industry Analysis > Content

【Summary】The Skoda Enyaq vRS electric car fails to live up to the excitement of the vRS badge, but it is still a great EV with practicality and performance. Despite the sporty styling and additional power, it lacks the expected blend of fun and practicality. However, when viewed without the vRS expectations, it still delivers as a family crossover, offering a visually distinct design.

When Autocar adds a car to their long-term test fleet, they always outline the reasons why they want to run it. For the Skoda Enyaq vRS, the goal was to find out if the vRS badge could make an electric car exciting. Unfortunately, it seems that it can't.

Adding an extra motor, increasing the power, and adding sporty features and styling to the Enyaq iV doesn't result in the same blend of practicality, performance, and fun that Skoda's vRS line is known for. So, the question of whether the vRS badge can make an electric car exciting has been answered: no, it can't.

However, despite the lack of sporty performance, the Skoda Enyaq vRS is still a great electric vehicle. It offers everything you would want from a family crossover, whether it's electric or not. So, while it may not meet the expectations created by the vRS badges, it still delivers in terms of practicality and functionality.

Visually, the Enyaq Coupé stands out from its SUV sibling. It has a distinct appearance, resembling a slightly oversized saloon rather than a traditional SUV.
