Skoda Kodiaq and Superb debut showcases new interiors

The upcoming Skoda Kodiaq SUV and Superb Estate are set to be revealed soon, and Skoda has now released the first photos of their new interiors. Despite the push towards electric vehicles, Skoda continues to deliver new and updated models with internal combustion engines, as seen with the recent makeovers of the Skoda Scala and Skoda Kamiq, as well as the upcoming new Superb in November.

Both the Superb and Kodiaq feature similar interiors, with enhancements made to the steering wheel, instrument cluster, dash, and trim. The gear selector has been moved to the steering column to create a cleaner center console. The vehicles also come equipped with a 10.25" instrument cluster, a 12.9" infotainment system, and Skoda's new 'Smart Dials'.

Skoda's Smart Dials, located below the infotainment screen, offer a combination of haptic and digital controls for an improved user experience. The rotary dials on the outer knobs provide HVAC controls, while the center knob controls various functions such as volume, fan speed, air direction, driving modes, and smart air conditioning. Each knob also incorporates a digital display, adding to the overall convenience and functionality.

In addition to these features, the new Skoda models also offer smartphone charging capabilities for up to two phones in the Kodiaq, four USB-C ports, ergo seats, and the use of environmentally responsible materials for all interior textiles.

Peter Olah, Head of Interior Design at Skoda, commented on the new interiors, stating that they embody intuitiveness, simplicity, customer focus, and smart solutions. He also highlighted the innovative Skoda Smart Dials, which provide a seamless integration of physical controls and digital displays to enhance the overall driving experience.
