Tesla engineers have admitted that the company failed to address the limitations in its Autopilot system after a fatal crash in Florida in 2016. The lawsuit filed by the family of a driver who died in a similar collision in 2019 is now going to trial, and recently disclosed testimony from multiple engineers reveals that Tesla did not make any changes to its driver-assistance technology to account for crossing traffic in the nearly three-year period between the two accidents.
