Earlier this week, Governor Samuel Garcia Sepulveda of Nuevo León held a meeting with several Tesla executives who are overseeing the construction of Gigafactory Mexico.

In a recent Instagram post, Governor Sepulveda shared updates on the progress of Tesla Giga Mexico. He mentioned that the access and mobility works for the Gigafactory will commence soon.

According to the Governor, the Tesla executives are excited because they will now have direct flights from Austin and San Francisco to Mexico. He also mentioned that he is about to receive the start-up of the Gigafactory from Tesla. The initial focus will be on water treatment, train adaptations, and access to the highway.

The construction progress of Giga Mexico is a positive sign for Tesla, especially after reports suggested that the start of production at the factory might be delayed due to permitting processes in Mexico.

He welcomed Tesla executives, including Market Director Eugenio Grandio de la Torre, Director of Business Rohan Patel, and Logistics Manager Daniel Calvo, into his home. The Secretary of Economy Ivan Rivas and Undersecretary of Investment Emmanuel Loo also attended the meeting.
